Each BitWise Laboratory device comes with a 1 year standard warranty. Extended warranties also may be purchased to add an additional 2 years to the standard warranty. While each device is under warranty, regularly-scheduled calibrations are free of charge; shipping not included.

BITWISE LABORATORIES WARRANTY


All instruments sold by BitWise Laboratories, Inc. come with a one-year warranty. Under our warranty, BitWise Laboratories, Inc. will repair or, at its option, replace any in-warranty product returned to BitWise within the warranty period. However, this will be performed only if the defect is not due to misuse, neglect, accident, or by abnormal conditions or operation. An optional additional two-year warranty can by purchased with the instrument.

 

BitWise Laboratories Incorporated warrants this product for normal use and operation within specifications for a period of one year from the date of shipment. Spares, replacement parts and repairs are warranted for 90 days.  Under the BitWise Laboratories, Inc. warranty, BitWise Laboratories, Inc. will repair or, at its option, replace any product returned within the warranty period to BitWise Laboratories, Inc. However, this will be done only if the product is determined after examination by BitWise Laboratories, Inc. to be defective due to workmanship or materials, and not to have been caused by misuse, neglect or accident, or by abnormal conditions or operation. Parts, modules and replacement products used by BitWise Laboratories, Inc. for warranty work may be new or reconditioned to like-new performance. All replaced parts, modules and products become the property of BitWise Laboratories, Inc.

 

THIS WARRANTY IS GIVEN BY BITWISE LABORATORIES, INC. WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. BITWISE LABORATORIES, INC. AND ITS VENDORS DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. BITWISE LABORATORIES, INC.’S RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR OR REPLACE DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY PROVIDED TO THE CUSTOMER FOR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. BITWISE LABORATORIES, INC. AND ITS VENDORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER BITWISE LABORATORIES, INC. OR THE VENDOR HAS ADVANCE NOTICE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

When do BitWise devices communicate any information with BitWise servers?

Each BitWise device is its own web server providing user interface and Help web site services directly to you on your local network. When you use BitWise devices, you are not connecting to a centralized BitWise server. There are two features that do cause individual BitWise devices to communicate with a centralized BitWise server: One is the internet website Lookup Local Device IP Address feature that is initiated when you press the physical button on the back of the device. This causes the devices to connect to a centralized BitWise server and send your local network numeric IP address and device serial number so we can display it on the internet website and create a link you can use to access the user interface. The second feature that requires connecting to a centralized BitWise server is updating software. This is only done if and when you select to update your device. This process communicates the version numbers for individual software components inside your device in order to update your device appropriately.

We may use your information to send you product, support, service, marketing, and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
